DescriptionThe girls dormitory at Albuquerque Indian School in Albuquerque, New Mexico. A large two-story building can be seen behind a yard made up of trees and grass. The building has a birmingham style porch on the ground floor and a balcony directly above that on the second floor. One section of the groundfloor porch has leaning against it a wooden trellis with vine just beginning to grow up it. Directly in from of the building, is what appears to be an area that is cordoned off for a small flower area or garden. Small wooden stakes protrude from the ground in this area. To the right of the frame and beyond the trees, are two small single-story houses. These have peeked roofs and a small porch area.

"Hello Wife how are you? I am feeling mighty good after making such a trip. I am glad I got away from Legeron (?). I don't know if can stay here on account of altitude. Look out my window and see old King Winter on the mountain top two miles up. Will rite Sunday a letter".
