DescriptionAn Albuquerque Fire Department truck drives along Central Avenue in downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico. Members of the fire department ride in the front of the truck and stand on the running board of the passenger side (the left side of the truck). Streetcar tracks run along the center of the street. The Armijo Building with a sign for "Grand Central Hotel" is near the right of the frame. The Capitol Bar is next to the hotel. Other businesses and buildings are in the background along Central Avenue. People are watching the fire truck from the sidewalk and from their vehicles parked along the side of the road.

Handwriting on the back of the postcard is partially obscured, but reads, " Albuq. Fire Dept No 1; on Central Ave rec'd your card and was glad to hear from you. I am 5 1/2 feet tall. Everybody [obscured] now except that [obscured] has got a bad [obscured]. Love Davey [obscured]".
