In the center of the plate are colored drawings of thirteen different areas of New Mexico. This includes buildings, areas, and events that defined New Mexico at the time. At the center of the drawings is the word "New Mexico" written in a brown font. There is a zig-zag and geometric border that runs around the plate, and is only interrupted by the Zia symbol and a circular symbol at regular intervals. On View
