DescriptionThis cast metal nameplate, likely made of brass or bronze, advertises “Globe Tailor Made Underwear” from Grand Rapids, Michigan. The embossed lettering stands out against the dark background, with remnants of gold paint highlighting the ornate scrollwork along the base. Below the circular centerpiece, the name “WM. D. Hardy & Co.” is prominently displayed. The reverse contains the manufacturer information and location debossed on to the metal plate.
