BiographyThe Galles Motor Company dealership, located at 131 Pine Street SE on the north side of Central Avenue, was built in the early 1950s, a time when the automobile was becoming central to American culture. In 1933, Galles Motor Company purchased the Cadillac, Oldsmobile and Chevrolet franchises. Their location in Albuquerque on Central Avenue and University Boulevard grew the company in the 1950s with a focus on luxury models. The family and their vehicles are also involved in the professional motor racing circuit with President and CEO Rick Galles the Indianapolis 500 among other races in the 1990s.
