BiographySimon Novellanus (ca. 1540 - 1600) was a German draftsman and coppersmith active at the end of the 16th century. His most notable work was a collaboration with the copperplate engraver Franz Hogenberg, to create engravings for Georg Braun's large pictorial work Civitates orbis terrarum, which was published in 1572.
