DescriptionThis object is a circular canteen comprised of white-slipped clay with black designs. The canteen has a large, circular body with two small, semicircular handles located on either side of the neck. The thin neck itself protrudes from the very top of the bottle. A Mimbres-inspired rabbit design is centered on one side of the object, surrounded by repeating triangular patterns around the edge of the canteen. The black slip comprising the rabbit and geometric patterns is chipped in some places, revealing the white slip of the background underneath. On View
