DescriptionColonel Selah R.H. "Tommy" Tompkins, commander of a U.S. Army force tasked to drive Pancho Villa from Juarez, returns to El Paso on a pontoon bridge ahead of a mule train. The bridge is a pontoon bridge that crosses the Rio Grande. There is a second officer walking beside Tomkins in front of the mule train. Soldiers can be seen sitting in the pontoon boats on the side of the bridge.
