Tompkins, standing behind the couching individuals to the right), porters, staff, and child (far left) crouch towards a wood planked floor on the platform at the Alvarado station in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Behind them is an observation train car deck with a circular sign reading, "California Santa Fe Limited." A leash lays on the ground in front of one crouching train station staff members who is holding one of the puppies.
