DescriptionA necklace slide, a style of pendant in which a chain or necklace slips through an open element on the back of the piece without the use of a visible bail. In this example by Kewa (Santo Domingo) jeweler Ava Marie “Cool-Ca-Ya” Coriz, the slide has been fashioned from bone, then adorned and sealed with alternating mosaics tiles of turquoise, coral, cowrie, fossil ivory, variscite, lapis, jet, and yellow-lip oyster shell. On View
