DescriptionThis object is a hollow charcoal iron with a wooden handle and an operable hinge towards the back which can be open and shut with the small lever at the tip of the iron. A vertically perforated trivet is included as well. The iron base of the handle is decorated to resemble fish or whales with their tails pointed up to support the handle. The lever located at the front of the object resembles a chicken, and can be slid forward or backward to open the lid. The lid of the iron has numerous triangular serrations allowing for ventilation as a heating element burns. The body of the object also has five internally-hooded semicircular perforations to further aid in ventilation.
