DescriptionThis object is a diamond-based gas-powered iron with enamel body and handle, metal framing, and steel heating plate. A small, spherical cauldron with a thumb-screw lid is affixed to the back of the object which can be filled with gasoline, kerosine, or other liquid fuels. The fuel is supplied by the reservoir, and flows horizontally into a chamber attached to the underside of the upper metal plate on the object, where it is ignited. The ignition area is protected by a blue, perforated enamel body, which is affixed to the heating plate at the bottom of the object and has a hole towards the back to insert a match and light the fuel inside. On View
