DescriptionThis image depicts the exterior of the Fred Harvey Indian Building and a courtyard at the Alvarado Hotel in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The right side of the frame is taken up by the courtyard. In this courtyard is a large lawn area, several cement pathways leading in various directions, a small metal trashcan, and varying types of plants lining the lawn area's edge. The hotel itself can be seen on the left side of the frame. The exterior wall facing the courtyard is lined with different types of trees. Several rounded archways with shaded interiors are visible. Hanging in the middle of two rounded archways hangs the logo of the Fred Harvey Indian Building above a wall plaque which reads "Indian Building. Fred Harvey". A hotel directory can be seen in the lawn on the far left side of the frame. It reads "The Alvarado: Hotel Office. Dining Room. Lunch Room. Indian Building. News Stand. Parcels Checked. Ticket Office. Baggage Room. Express Office. Western Union".
