DescriptionA group of five children of varying ages and heights stand beside a wooden fence between a home and dirt lot. Behind them is a flooded field separated into two long, narrow, vertical lots lined by trees. There are two small children in dresses, one of which wears a large brimmed hat with a peaked dome. She is the only girl wearing shoes. The two other children are taller boy, one of which wears shoes and trousers a few sizes too large. The other boy is barefoot and wears overalls with pant legs rolled up and a wide brimmed hat on his head.

Emulsion deterioration is occurring on the glass plate causing distortion and image loss.
