DescriptionThe aftermath of a fire at the Albuquerque Foundry in New Mexico. Scraps and supplies litter the dirt earth surrounding the brick building. The glass panes from the windows of the single-story foundry are blown out and there are burn marks on the exterior of the brick walls. Children in dresses and hats and men in working cloths and hats stand in the wreckage. Silver mirroring and emulsion deterioration is occurring on the glass plate creating color distortion and emulsion loss.
