DescriptionThis campaign button was produced for Dwight D. Eisenhower’s 1952 bid for the United States presidency, alongside his running mate, Richard Nixon. Eisenhower, who served as the 34th president, was a renowned military leader before his political career. As Supreme Commander of the Allied Expeditionary Force in Europe during World War II, he earned the prestigious five-star rank of General of the Army. His administration, marked by significant involvement in global affairs, is particularly noted for its role in orchestrating military interventions in both South America and the Middle East. The button is mostly red, white and blue,with blue text. The text reads "IKE / AND / Dick."
