DescriptionThe New Mexico State Fair, 1940 4-H calf-judging division. The eight calves are in a line all facing toward a building with a long row of windows. There is a handler with each one, standing near the head of their calf. Only the back half of the calves are visible. The handlers are mostly adult males and they are all wearing cowboy hats. There are a few women near the center of the line. In the right side of the frame there is a man in a cowboy hat walking forward. In the far background and to the right, are the Sandia Mountains with white clouds above. The photo has white cropping marks on it.On View
