DescriptionTen men stand with stacks of hay and a grain threshing machine in an open field near Albuquerque, New Mexico. There is a grain threshing machine in operation removing the seeds from the stalks and husks of the grain and one man sits on the seat of the machine while four other men use pitchforks on the stacks of grain. The machine has large wheels and a belt attached to the actual threshing area and a young man sits on one of the large back wheels at the right, while two men stand in front of the machine and face the camera. At the left, two men stand on a horse-drawn flatbed wagon and face the camera. There are bags of grain piled in the center of the frame and a pitchfork rests on top of the bags.
