DescriptionThis rubber ink stamp was produced for the Ross Engineering Office, originally founded in 1886 by Pitt Ross in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The company had locations in both Albuquerque and Farmington. Their expertise spanned land surveys, water rights, oil and mine location surveys, as well as mapmaking and blueprinting. The stamp is primarily made of wood, with a rubber bottom for the stamping surface. The text at the bottom reads "ROSS ENGINEERING OFFICE," while the top of the stamp features the phrase "FOR SALE IN ANY QUANTITY BY / ROSS ENGINEERING OFFICE." Originally painted red, the pigment has worn off significantly over time.On View
