DescriptionThis artifact consists of blank forms issued by the Railway Express Agency, a prominent American shipping company in the mid-20th century. The forms are cream-colored paper with red and black printed text, rolled for storage but partially unrolled to reveal their format. At the top of the form, the title "RAILWAY EXPRESS AGENCY INCORPORATED" is printed in bold red capital letters, accompanied by a red diamond-shaped logo bearing the company's name. The forms provide spaces for the sender’s and recipient’s information, including "Street Address," "City and State," and "Value," alongside the "Date of Shipment." A small line at the bottom reads "Printed in U.S.A. (772-3-40)," indicating production in 1940. The Railway Express Agency played a significant role in the transportation and logistics network of the United States, especially during the early-to-mid-20th century. It provided expedited shipping services by rail, connecting cities and towns, including Albuquerque, New Mexico. On View
