DescriptionThis pencil was produced by the Drinkard & Emmert, Inc. Union Stock Yards. The Drinkard & Emmert Inc. was a livestock commission company, who bought and managed cattle yards in the American Southwest during the 20th century. This pencil has a unique design, as it has a case, which can be removed and used as a separate eraser. The case is white with a line of blue text which reads "DRINKARD & EMMERT, Inc./Union Stock Yards." There are two small red lines which run horizontally around the ends of the pencil case. The pencil itself is made of wood, with a classic yellow paint job. There is a bit of silver casing at the end of the wooden pencil part, which acts as a cap when the pencil is inclosed in its case.
