DescriptionA Moki-style wool blanket made of Churro wool, 7-band layout with indigo blue, natural beige & brown.Blankets with bands of alternating indigo blue, brown, and beige stripes are sometimes called "Moki" pattern blankets. The pattern is named after the Spanish name for the Hopi people, who rarely wove them.
Although it is unlikely that striped indigo blankets were made in workshops, weavers probably used specific design sources such as drawings, instructions, or actual blanket samples to re-create the complicated layouts.67
