DescriptionThis object is an ornate mantel clock comprised of gilded brass, pink porcelain, and enamel. The body of the clock is coated in gilded bronze, with pink porcelain accents visible through the side columns and near the painted designs. The relatively small clock face is numbered with Roman numerals and has an image of a cherub at its center. An additional image of a courting couple fishing is located beneath the clock face. An ornate, decorative urn sits atop the clock, and has small, floral designs painted in a band around its center. The rear panel of the clock is missing, revealing missing mechanical components inside the object.On View
