DescriptionThis object is an ornate Portico-style mantle clock that has likely been altered at a later date. The "portico" is comprised of four, twisting crystal columns stabilized by internal metal rods. The top and bottom of the portico are each comprised of carved brass, with a rope design engraved onto the sides of the base while a thin, metal leaf laurel sits atop the object. The clock face has a distinct style compared to the portico with an Art-Deco like design. "LUX CLOCK CO / WATERBURY CONN" is written in small text on the bottom edge of the clock face. The clock face is embedded into a square metal frame that is comprised of floral and botanical designs and is affixed by two legs to the base of the portico. On View
