DescriptionGem sifter made of tin and steel resembling a medium-sized bucket. The bottom of the sifter is a thin, wire mesh used to discard sand and other smaller sediments. The rim is slightly flattened, and a metal seem runs vertically across the back of the object and is flanked by two metal buttons near the top. The stamped label on the front reads: "GEM SIFTER / MANUFACTURED BY / J. L. CLARK MANUFACTURING CO. / ROCKFORD, ILL. Heavy rust is present on the rim.On View
