DescriptionThis early-20th century ceramic doll features a glossy, flesh-toned finish with molded and painted facial features including open lips and delicately arched eyebrows. The doll’s head, torso, and limbs are glazed, with articulated joints at the shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees, allowing limited movement. The doll displays separated limbs with infant proportions and a bald head. Although the doll is of Chinese manufacture, its presence in a Southwestern collection speaks to global trade and cultural exchange. On View
