DescriptionRoller derby athletes skate during a jam at a bout on the concrete floor of EXPO New Mexico at the New Mexico State Fairgrounds in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Bosque Bruisers wear teal uniforms and chase a Sandia Slammers player in a pink uniform. There are other Sandia Slammers skaters in the group toward the back. There are three referees wearing black and white striped shirts and black shorts skating in an in-track area of the room. The track is bordered by pink tape on the floor. The roller derby athletes are wearing their team color uniforms, helmets, knee pads, elbow pads, and roller skates. An announcer wears a headset and stands in the center of the in-track area and watches the players as they skate. There is a digital scoreboard projected on a white wall in the background. A small section of bleachers is installed near the left of the frame in the background. One player from the Bosque Bruisers is on her knees in the middle of the group. The rest remain on their feet, roller skating.
