DescriptionEight members of the Matson family stand outside a wood sided home in Albuquerque New Mexico. Four of the family members are dressed in the shirtwaist style with gigot puffed long sleeves, bows and ties along the high necklines, and long, unpleated skirts sinched tightly at the waist. The other four are dressed in single-breasted slack or lounge three-piece suits, starched sparable collars, and ties. Two members of the group are seated in front of the others, visibly older than the rest. A large fluffy dark colored dog sits at the feet of the elder man sitting, its head in his lap. The person third from the left standing in the back is Laura Fox Matson, and beside her, fourth from the left, stands Ollie Matson. The house has an enclosed porch with plants hung and drying along the screened walls. There is a ladder leaned against the home leading to the roof.
