DescriptionThe exterior of the Orpheum Theater located at 500 South Second Street in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Orpheum is a single-story building with large storefront windows and a large concaved entrance area. The top trip is highly decorative with a repeating half circle design. There is a large sign hanging perpendicular to the building's face reading, "ORPHEUM" with lightbulbs filling each letter. Sandwich boards advertising for films such as A Cowboy for a Day, Los Illusions, and Herodias are collapsed and leaned against the building. Four men in suits, vests, fedoras, and separable collars stand on the sidewalk outside the cinema on the paved sidewalk next to the dirt roads. Inside the shop window to the left of the cinema's entrance sits a boy at a countertop with provisions stacked between it and the window's glass pain.

Emulsion deterioration is occurring on the glass plate causing distortion and emulsion loss in image.
