DescriptionThis image depicts the edge of the West Ceja, or mesa, near Albuquerque, New Mexico. This portion of this mesa is mostly covered in light colored sand. While there are still plants in this area, they are sparce. The edge of this mesa is visible in the center background of the image. This sand and lightly plant covered landscape covers the top, the edge, and the downward slope of the mesa. It can also be seen stretching into the background of the photograph.
