DescriptionAlbuquerque Electric Light Company located near Broadway Boulevard and Coal Avenue in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The structure is a single-story brick building with a small smoke stack extending from the roof. The building is surrounded by a fence and there is a young leafless tree in its yard. There is a dirt road beyond its grounds and there is a single bench with two wooden wheels being pulled by a horse. A figure in a homburg hat and dark suit jacket sits on the bench and holds the reigns. Highland Methodist Episcopal Church is to the left of the power plant and the address of the house to the right is 418 South Arno Street.Silver mirroring and emulsion deterioration is occurring on the glass plate creating color distortion and emulsion loss in the image.
