DescriptionA handwrought copper bracelet crafted using traditional Pueblo techniques. A hand-hammered slab of copper is used to form the bracelet’s shank which is decorated with organic designs referencing flora and insects. An Acoma/Laguna Pueblo jeweler, Greg Lewis is one of the few Native American silversmiths who works with copper. The bracelet’s shank features repoussee and stamped decorative elements. Chisel work is used throughout to create an overall organic shape to the bracelet. Four turquoise stones set in a traditional style bezel frame the central design. The bracelet’s terminals are not completely uniform as they are also shaped into floral forms. The bracelet is signed on the interior with Greg Lewis’ customary arrowhead hallmark, inherited from his Grandfather. On View
