DescriptionPortrait of a young woman in Pueblo traditional dress stands on a woven rug in front of a hand-painted studio background in the Cobb Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The woman is wearing light-colored leg wrappings, a dark dress that gathers over one shoulder, and a dark colored manta. Her right hand is holding the manta on her head as she faces the camera. A long sleeve light-colored dress is beneath the one-shoulder dress with lace and ribbon trimmed bowing sleeves and bottom edge. There is a cape-like fabric fastened upper her chin with a button and has a decorative trim which rests over the dresses atop her shoulders, and worn beneath the manta over her head and draping down her back. She wears silver decorative cuff bracelets on her writs, large rings on both fingers, and a two-strand beaded necklace around the neck.
Silver mirroring and emulsion deterioration is occurring on the glass plate creating color distortion and emulsion loss.
