DescriptionThis is an iron shoe last made for shoemaking. The last is shaped like a human foot, and it is around this that the sole of a shoe is formed before creating the remainder. There is a ridge stretching from the toes to the ankle portion of the last, as well as a shorter one running from the heel to the ankle. On the right side of the front is a faint number "3" written in the metal. At the ankle is a raised bowl-like shape with an indent in the middle. This indent allows the last to be attached upside down onto a shoe last stand and secured. The iron metal is a mix of black and brown throughout.
