DescriptionThis is an iron shoe last made for shoe making. The last is shaped like a human foot, and it is around this that the sole of a shoe is formed before creating the remainder. There is a ridge stretching from the toes to the ankle portion of the last, as well as a shorter one running from the heel to the ankle. On the right side of the front is the letter and number "C 3" written in the metal, as well as the letter "L" within a circle written next to it. On the left side, also in the front, is the word "MALLEABLE" also written in the metal. At the ankle is a raised bowl-like shape with an indent in the middle. This indent allows the last to be attached upside down onto a shoe last stand and secured. The iron metal is a mix of black and brown throughout.
