DescriptionThis is an iron stand for a shoe last, a common tool in shoemaking. The stand is has an oval shaped base, with notches and indents evenly spaced around the outside edge. From this base a long vertical stand is situated. There are four ridges around the stand that run up the sides. The top is slightly tapered and ends in a flat edge. On this point a shoe last can be secured. The iron metal is a mix of black and brown throughout, and the number "4" can be seen on one side. On the other side the words "EMPIRE" and "GUARENTE D" are lifted from the metal. At the top of this same side is a symbol which appears to be the letters "L" and "S" between two arrows above and below.On View
