Description“Rancho Indian Store – 6 Mi. North on U.S. Highway 85 P.O. Box 956 [?] [number crossed out and Rt. 2, Box 258 is written instead], Albuquerque, N.M.” Rancho Indian Store on Highway 85 near Albuquerque, New Mexico. A one-story adobe-style building with two doors and two sets of double windows on the front. A thunderbird, a pot, a cloud with rain and patterns are painted on the outside. Chiles, pots and other things hang from the vigas. Cars are parked on both ends of the building, and five Navajo rugs hang outside. “Rancho Indian Store” is written over the right-hand screen door, which appears to be the entrance to the building. “Indian Rugs, Jewelry, Pottery, Curios” are written elsewhere on the front.
