DescriptionA hand-painted letter dated February 14, illustrating three young girls, a man wearing a sombrero seen from behind, and a red burro (donkey). The man and burro walk away from the viewer toward a snowy landscape. The letter reads: "Wood is very scarce just now. Our neighbors say that the snow is very deep in the mountains. The piñon and cedar trees are just all snowed under. So I sit very near the stove to keep warm. Well the crackling and snapping of the cedar wood is friendly and cozy and keeps..."On View
