DescriptionThis is a ceramic plate honoring Rabbi Paul Citrin 18 years of service at Congregation Albert synagogue. The background of the plate is cream colored and the center of the plate features a painting of a landscape, including mountains, a sun, a rainbow, and a river. The sun is shown as a Zia symbol, and there is hebrew writing above the river. There are also depictions of two synagogues with pale walls and a domed roofs. Between these is a blue Star of David. Beneath this painting is a pale tan painted hand that comes up from the right side. Around the painting is black hebrew lettering that serves as a border, and then a blue border that goes around the edge of the plate. There are also four holes in the plate distributed at the edges. The holes are situated so that they could form a square if a line was drawn to connect them. Attached to each hole is a woven tassel made of blue and white fiber. The top quarter of the tassel has been braided, the rest hangs down freely.
