DescriptionThis rectangular metal license plate is painted bright yellow with raised red lettering and accents. At the top, the slogan "LAND OF ENCHANTMENT" is embossed in red capital letters. Below, the years "1912" and "1972" flank a red Zia sun symbol with the number "60" at its center, commemorating the 60th anniversary of New Mexico’s statehood. The word "ANNIVERSARY" is prominently displayed in a curved, italicized font across the middle. At the bottom, “NEW MEXICO USA” is embossed in red capital letters. The plate has four pre-drilled holes for mounting and shows signs of wear, including chipped paint and surface scratches. This commemorative license plate was issued in 1972 to mark the 60th anniversary of New Mexico’s admission as the 47th state of the United States in 1912. The use of the Zia symbol is derived from the emblem of the Zia Pueblo.
