DescriptionGouache study for UNM Center for the Fine Arts carpet. A rectangular painted design with blocks of taupe and brown around the outside edges. Centrally, 12 thin lines of turquoise lay over white columns capped with brown and with small, circular details run down the center with an uneven sandy-colored column between them. Abstract, tentacle-like shapes run the length, reaching towards each other, untouching. Thin turquoise squiggles are located in each. At the bottom, there is a swatch of the colors used throughout the painting.
