DescriptionAn unused gas pump is outside of a brick wall and a wooden front porch of the post office at Claunch, New Mexico. Peeling paint on the brick wall behind the gas pump partially reads, "Gas & Oil". There is a gravel and dirt road in front of the building with two directional road signs posted across the street from the post office. The top sign reads, "Gran Quivera" with an arrow pointing to the left. The bottom sign reads, "Mountainair" with an arrow pointing to the left and "Carrizozo" with an arrow pointing to the right. A stucco building is across the street and to the right of the frame. A pickup truck is parked behind the stucco building. A large pasture is in the background and several cows are in the field.
