DescriptionThis image depicts the outside of the Flying-C-Ranch Cafe 77 miles East of Albuquerque, New Mexico on U.S. Highway 66. The Flying-C-Ranch consists of three separate buildings. The building on the left is the cafe portion and the first building on the right is a gas station, and the building behind the gas station is a garage. All three buildings are made of white painted stucco. The corners of the cafe building are rounded and seven windows are visible along the outside walls. A man and two women can be seen entering into the cafe while a car is parked in a parking spot in front of the doors. A tall neon sign reading "Flying-C-Ranch" is also present in front of the cafe. The gas station consists of four gas pumps and a small building. A car is parked at the gas pumps nearest the building and three people stand around it looking towards the interior of the building. The large window of the building shows several stacks of cans. The cover over the pumps has the words "Cline's Flying-C-Ranch" painted on the sides. The third building is the garage and has the words "Cline's Flying-C-Ranch Garage" painted over the entrance. A tow truck can be seen driving away from the garage near the right side of the frame. Finally, a tall sign with the Texaco logo on it can be seen behind the tow truck on the right side.

"Dear Auntie, they serve good hamburgers here. Are at Johnny O’Conner’s in Albuquerque. Went out to his house a while ago. They sure have a nice house. I don't like Albuquerque but by the time I see more of it I may like it better. We are just at the outer edge now. Came threw mountains with no trouble. Love Katherine".
