DescriptionA political cartoon drawing of former U.S. president Richard Nixon depicted with an oversized head and sitting on the lower end of a teeter totter. Nixon's brow is furrowed as he glances at the viewer. At the top of the teeter totter is John Lindsay, U.S. congressman and New York City mayor, who looks down at Nixon in a sweat. In 1971, Lindsay launched a brief and unsuccessful bid for the 1972 Democratic presidential nomination.
