DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of a painting of a woman wearing a long white dress and veil, holding a newborn child while riding sidesaddle on a donkey. An older man walks alongside the pair, wearing long, layered fabrics and leading the animal by a rope. The ages, dress, and arrangement of figures correspond to traditional representations of the infant Christ, the Virgin Mary, and her husband Joseph. A large, vertical crack in the flowerbed beneath the composition continues toward the ceiling, and windows on either side reveal a pair of radio or television towers in the distance and an empty terrace on the right.
