DescriptionThis wooden plaque is in the shape of the state of New Mexico. There are two silver-colored metal plates, and the top plate is smaller than the lower one. On either side of the upper plate are the Air Force Junior ROTC cadet officer insignia for the rank of Colonel, pointing downward (a point with a blue background and three silver V's, with the top V filled in with a thicker silver line). The metal plate on the plaque reads: “Honorary Cadet Colonel/presented to/Bob Hope." The lower plate says, "'Thanks for bringing the memory/of American fighting men/home to their people’/505th A.F. R.O.T.C. Detachment/Cadet Group of NMSU/Las Cruces, New Mexico/December 14, 1973.”On View
