DescriptionSherriff Lester Hay wears a khaki uniform and a hat and looks toward the camera in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is holding bundles of cash with more bundles on his hat and tucked into his coat. The bundles are mostly one-dollar and five-dollar bundles. A caption on the back of the photograph reads, "FAST WORK – Sheriff Lester Hay, of Albuquerque, happily displays $8501 he recovered when he arrested two men in connection with robbery of supermarket a few hours earlier. Within three hours after theft, Hay had the two men in jail, a signed confession from one, the loot recovered and counted.”
