DescriptionThe table is uniquely shaped, with a flat surface sitting above a large storage space. The table surface is held up by four turned legs that run vertically down the length of the table. The large middle storage space has a wide opening on one of its sides, while the other sides are enclosed by wooden panels. The roof of the middle unit is made from six horizontally running wooden panels. The whole unit sits slightly above the ground atop the legs, which extend slightly beyond the central frame. This object reflects an era of furniture production when innovative designs and delicate craftsmanship played an important role in furniture production. On View
