BiographyCady Wells was born to a wealthy Massachusetts family in 1904, where he studied music at Harvard University. With the intention of being an artist, Wells settled in Taos, New Mexico, in 1932, where he studied with modernist artist, Andrew Dasburg. Wells thrived among the modernists of Taos and Santa Fe, producing the landscapes for which he’s best known. Wells work was cut short in 1954, when he suffered a heart attack from which he did not recover.
