BiographyThe New Mexico Scorpions were an ice hockey team in affiliation with the Western Professional Hockey League (WPHL), and later the Central Hockey League (CHL), both minor professional hockey leagues. The Scorpions were the only hockey team from New Mexico affiliated with minor professional hockey, and were based in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. They were established in 1996 and played in Tingley Coliseum from 1996-2005 and later in Santa Ana Star Center from 2006-2007.
